December 16, 2018

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful December!  We are loving every music and program related event that we can go to!  Here are some things we’ve been up to this week:

Claire rode around with a box for a few days and it reminded me of the people we saw in China with similar set ups.  Here is a comparison for you.

Hailey had a White Elephant Christmas Mug party where everyone brought a gift that would fit in a Christmas mug.  Then we ate pizza and had hot chocolate using our brand new mugs.  It was just so fun!

Annie wrote a play and it was chosen as her class Christmas program  play.  She got to cast, direct, and costume it and basically just make it happen.  She learned so much, and I was so proud of her!   She called it “The Christmas Sprites.”

Our neighbors gave us some Christmas oranges and these girls thought the little stocking bags were so great.  They played “shopping” for quite a while!

We had our ward Christmas breakfast yesterday morning, and the primary sang a few songs.  I looked to find my three primary-aged girls and this is what I found: Annie-hiding because she feels too old to sing, Madelynn-completely missing . . . I mean totally MIA, and Claire-standing there making all kinds of funny faces, but no singing.  Silly girls!

Here is a clip of a few songs that our little group played for the ward Christmas breakfast.  It is really fun to play with these other three people.  It reminds me a lot of playing with my parents.

After the Christmas breakfast, the youth of our church and their leaders went on a temple trip to Fresno. They had a nice group and really enjoyed themselves.

That left me with only the three littles and we decided that we needed a break.  We have been to many programs, and we’ve been shopping, and we’ve decorated, and we’ve partied, and we needed to just get away for just a few hours.  So we went here:

We thought it was going to be way too cold to get into the water, so we didn’t bring any clothes or towels.  Big mistake.   It turned out to be a pretty nice day and the girls thought it was perfect for dodging waves.

We hope you all have a wonderful day and week!  It’s almost Christmas! Don’t forget to invite all your friends to Christmas worship services on the 23rd!
